Avi Joy was perfect on the plane rides! You never know how a little one will do and she was better than we could have expected. The flight from Chicago to Tulsa was like torture (emotionally)... We were soooo close to home and seeing our family and friends my whole body was jittery with excitement.

Arriving and seeing everyone was so special. It was a precious site to see our parents and others holding and kissing on our little baby. She was wide awake and ready to meet everyone. We stayed for about an hour letting everyone hold her and we took lots of pictures, we posted some so please take a look at our homecoming and some events after…

When we got hungry for lunch my mom went and got us Taco Bueno; it was delicious! We have enjoyed some wonderful home-cooked meals by friends and family upon return and its amazing the comfort food brings during times of transition.

As I am writing this we have been home for 3 weeks. We are totally time adjusted and getting a routine down. Avi Joy and I go out to do something at least once a day, even if it’s just to grab eggs at the store. We go to Bible study, have lunch with friends; we have been to the zoo and the fair. I love staying home, it is such a privilege.

Adam is doing well; he actually enjoyed going back to work. Like most families, we now have a new routine in the evenings and its all about Avi Joy. She started eating baby food this week and I have been trying to make most of them myself, which I love!

Avi Joy and her cousin George are going to get their picture taken next week together so we are excited about that. (Actually is grandma Cleo that is really excited.)

We will be sending everyone a Christmas card with a family picture… we love each of you and feel free to email us at any time to catch up or get together!

Just kidding about her email, maybe in 10 years but not now.  : )

XOXO, thank you for sharing in our journey and we look forward to future adoptions.

HA, can you believe that! Well, we will see what the Lord has planned.

With Love, The Perryman’s
